Reiki was discovered near Kyoto in Japan in 1922 and has since spread throughout the world and has become a popular method to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself through the balancing of energy on a physical, emotional, mental and spiritual level.

”Reiki” is made up of two Kanji characters 気. Phonetically, it is a combination of two Japanese words - Rei which means "Spirit" and "Ki" which means "life force energy". So Reiki literally means "spiritually guided life force energy."

Japanese Reiki Training, nestled in the Scottish Borders, nurtures individuals seeking to harness the ancient art of reiki healing. Our courses, leading up to Master level, are meticulously crafted to empower our students with profound knowledge and transformative skills.

What happens during a Reiki Session?

Lie down and relax. The Reiki practitioner will place their hands on different parts of the body depending on where the Reiki needs to go. The Treatment will usually be about 45 minutes

It’s possible that you may feel heat or vibration, see colours or light or even images. It may be that you feel and see nothing or even fall asleep. It doesn’t matter. Reiki will be doing its work.
